Waivers & Friend Requests

Now that you’ve registered for a camp, you’ll want to ensure all your paperwork is done before the first day of camp. Prior to the start of your camp, you will receive an email with a link to CampFax (https://winsport.campfax.com/) where all our online waivers exist. Complete all the paperwork under your camp. If you’ve attended previous camps or programs at WinSport and already have a CampFax account, we require your information to be updated annually so you will have to fill out new waivers before this summer.

If your child would like to be in the same group as a friend, please let us know this information through CampFax.

Please note that rental waivers for bikes will need to be completed in person on the first day of camp. If you have booked a bike rental prior to checking in for your mountain bike camp, you will need to visit the Rental Shop in the Frank King Day Lodge on the first morning. For rental bikes in Adventure Bound and Bikes & Blades camps, your rental waiver will be completed at check-in and your instructor will take your child to the rental shop to pick up their bike.

On your first day of camp, please bring an electronic copy on your phone or a printed hard copy of your registration confirmation. This will help our team direct you to the exact camp you’re looking for.

Lunches

WinSport Summer Camp LunchesDuring our active camps, your child will be expending a significant amount of energy. It is important to ensure that they have the right amount of calories to enjoy their day.

We suggest packing snacks, lunch and providing your child with a refillable water bottle for every day of camp.

If you are looking to save time and ensure your child has the right number of calories for the day, you can participate in our lunch program as an add-on to your camp. These menus were collaboratively built by our sport and culinary teams to provide your child the calories they need throughout the day. We do suggest providing some small snacks and a refillable water bottle to complement our lunch program. Participants going on offsite trips that have purchased the lunch program will be provided with a bagged lunch.

Please note, if your child is participating in (full day) Hockey Camps, Ringette Camps, Bikes & Blades, Rinks & Links, Ninja Hockey, or Skate Camps, lunch is included in the program cost. Please note: you should still bring snacks and a refillable water bottle every day!

If you have any specific dietary needs or issues these can be added in Campfax and our team will work with our culinary team to provide your child, the necessary options. We would ask that you confirm these needs at check-in so our team can confirm we received the information and are able to meet your needs.

Before & After Care

  • Before Care: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. ($5/day)
  • After Care: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. ($5/day)

Before/After Care is available at an additional cost for summer camps. If you have not already purchased Before/After Care and would like to, please call our Guest Services team at 403-247-5452 ext. 4.

Before & After Care locations are different for each camp so please see below for information specific to the drop off and pick up for your camp.

Rentals

If you have not booked a bike, golf clubs or skates, we suggest calling ahead to our Guest Services team to book before arriving for your camp.

Hill Road Access (RFID) Gate

The gate was put in place to reduce traffic volume to lower maintenance costs and extend the life of the road. 

During August, the gate will remain open on the first day of camps from 7:15 a.m. to 5: 45 p.m. For the rest of the week, the gate will be open from 7:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and then again 3:30 p.m. -5:45 p.m. The gate will be closed from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 

For half-day camp participants, or if you need access through the gate in August to pick up your child during the day, please obtain a Road Access Card from our team at the camp check-in. This card is valid for the week you are a registered camp participant only.

Bringing Your Own Bike

Please walk through the Passholder Entrance to the back of the Frank King Day Lodge and lock your bike in the rack marked for your age group behind the building before proceeding to check-in. 

You can enter the building from the back deck and check-in is on the second floor.

Renting a Bike

If you are renting a bike for the week, please head directly to the Rental Shop (on the main level of the Frank King Day Lodge). Once here, you will complete a rental form and be fitted for a bike.

After receiving your bike, it can be placed at the rack marked for your age group behind the building before proceeding to check-in. 

You can enter the building from the back deck and check-in is on the second floor.

At the end of the day you will need to return your child’s rental bike to the rental shop after check-out.

Each day of camp you will be required to pick up your bike before heading up to check-in and return your bike after check-out.

Any paperwork that is required if not filled out online will need to be completed at check-in. Please plan to arrive early on the first day of camp for check-in.

Arrival

For the remainder of the week, drop off and pick up will take place at your child’s dressing room unless you are signed up for before and/or after care. 

NOTE: for all single hour ice time camps (Shooting & Puck Control Camp, Hockey & Skating Skills Development Camp, Hockey Evaluation Prep Camp), please arrive 45 minutes prior to first session to check-in at the Arena Services Desk. For the rest of the week, arrive 30 minutes prior to the session and check arena screens for dressing room assignments

1 Hour Ice Times

For all camps with only one hour of ice each day, please arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled ice time on the first day to allow for check in.

For the rest of the week, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the ice time. Check Arena screens for dressing room assignments.

What else you should know
  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the program start date will be refunded less a $20 processing fee
  • Cancellations made between 7 days and 24 hours prior to the program start date will be credited to the purchaser’s WinSport account
  • No cancellations can be made within 24 hours of the program start date
  •  There are no refunds for missed classes during a program

Skate Camps

This information for camps applies to:
  • Learn to Skate Camp (Ages 6-12, Levels 1-4)
  • Discover Figure Skating Camp (Ages 8-12)

Any paperwork that is required if not filled out online will need to be completed at check-in

Please plan to arrive early on the first day of camp for check-in.
