Ages 4 - 12
Calling all aspiring hockey players! This beginner program is for young players who want to learn the fundamentals of this great sport. Your child will work on skating skills, puck control, and shooting techniques with great instructors. No previous hockey experience needed. Note: This is a no-hitting program. U5 ice time is 45 minutes long. U7-U13 ice time is 1-hour long.
Important Information
Full Hockey/Ringette gear is required for all Hockey and Power Skating programs.
Lesson Length: U5 lessons are 45 minutes, U7/9/11/13 lessons are 1 hour.
Skate School does not run programming on the following dates:
- October 10, 11, 12 (Thanksgiving Weekend)
- February 2 (Daytime programs only. Evening Programs Not Affected)
- February 13, 14, 15 ( Family Day Weekend)
- March 27, 28, 29 (Easter Weekend)
- May 22, 23, 24 ( Victoria Day Weekend)
If your lesson falls on one of these days, your lessons will resume on your selected day the following week.

A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement(s) ("Waiver") must be completed prior to the issuance and use of a WinSport ticket or pass (“Pass”), participation in a program, lesson, camp or event, rental of equipment and associated access to WinSport's facilities. All Passes are non-transferable and remain the property of WinSport. Access and enrollment is revocable without refund in the event of misconduct. Cancellation of Passes or enrollment in programs and refunds are subject to WinSport’s Refund Policy
