2026/27 Winter Hill Season

The City of Calgary has announced upcoming water restrictions to support the connection of the new Bearspaw South Feeder Main to the existing water system.

During this work, which will start Nov. 4 and last for approximately four weeks, the existing Bearspaw South Feeder Main will be temporarily shut down, significantly reducing how much water can be distributed across the city.

Unfortunately, these restrictions will affect WinSport’s ability to make snow during a critical period of preparation for the winter season. As a result, our planned opening date for our ski and snowboard hill is now uncertain.

While we know this uncertainty is disappointing for everyone looking forward to getting back on their skis or snowboard, WinSport supports the need to protect Calgary’s water supply. Our snowmaking team will be ready to take advantage of opportunities when conditions allow.
