Join a group of fearless females and take your riding to the next level in our action-packed Women's Only programs. These programs focus on developing important fundamental skills in a structured learning environment.

Register for our beginner or intermediate lessons and come ride with a supportive and likeminded group of ladies.

Note: These programs do not include chairlift access in the spring.

Women's Wednesdays - Beginner

Our Women's Only beginner program prepares female riders for exciting new terrain in a structured learning environment. Your coach will give tips, tactics and feedback to help you develop the fundamentals! To be prepared for this level, you should already be comfortable riding on pathways and gentle terrain.

Pre-requisites

  • Can pedal and stay balanced on Green (beginner) terrain.
  • Can sometimes stand up off the seat while riding over bumpy terrain.
  • Can comfortably stop, steer and change direction.
  • Introduced to using gears.

Equipment Requirements

  • Front and rear disk brakes required
  • Front suspension required
  • Certified/Approved Helmet required

Key Goals

  • Can ride while standing up off the seat when descending down a Green trail.
  • Can show a proper ‘climbing’ or ‘ready’ position.
  • Use both front and back brakes to safely come to a stop.
  • Can shift gears appropriately for uphill or downhill riding.
  • Can ride around small obstacles (sticks, rocks, puddles) on Green or easier Blue terrain.

IMPORTANT – WAIVER(S) REQUIRED

A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver") must be completed prior to participation in any WinSport Programs, Lessons, and Camps. If the applicable Waiver(s) is/are not completed, participation in the WinSport Program and access to WinSport's facilities will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.

  • A Parent/guardian must complete the applicable Waiver(s) for their minor/child participants

  • Any issued passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the participant

Women's Wednesdays - Intermediate

The Women's Only intermediate program prepares experienced riders for more challenging terrain in a structured learning environment. Our coaches will give tips, tactics and feedback to refine your skills! To be prepared for this level, you should already be comfortable riding in a standing ‘ready’ position on Green (beginner) and easier Blue (intermediate) terrain.

Pre-requisites

  • Can ride while standing up off the seat when descending down a Green trail and easier Blue terrain.
  • Can show a proper ‘climbing’ or ‘ready’ position.
  • Use both front and back brakes to safely come to a stop.
  • Can shift gears appropriately for uphill or downhill riding.
  • Can ride around small obstacles (sticks, rocks, puddles) on Green or easier Blue terrain.

Equipment Requirements

  • Front and rear disk brakes required
  • Front suspension required
  • Certified/Approved Helmet required
  • Knee & elbow pads recommended

Key Goals

  • Can use correct uphill or downhill position on most Blue (intermediate) terrain
  • Can adjust use of brakes to maintain traction and stay in control.
  • Shifting gears through changing terrain to maintain a proper cadence.
  • Can ride over small obstacles (sticks, rocks, etc.) with correct body position at trail speed.
  • Can show proper technique over a small jump.
  • Scan the trail and choose the appropriate line on a Blue trail.
  • Introduced to maneuvers like "rear wheel lifts", "roll ins" and "bunny hops", etc.
