Build your confidence and skills with a pro! We’ll focus on your development and ensure your success on the best terrain to match your exact needs. Go one-on-one or make a group with up to five family members of similar ability.

 

Adult and Youth Private Lessons

Private lessons are the fastest way to develop your riding skills. Privates are perfect for those who are not comfortable in larger group settings, want that extra one-on-one attention or want specific coaching in one key area of their riding. We will help you achieve your goals.

Want to improve your cornering, climbing, jumping or just get some improvement on your riding this summer? Join us for a custom private lesson to suit your needs. It’s all about you! You pick the day, you pick the pace, you pick the goal! When you take a private lesson, you are the centre of attention. For two hours, your instructor will customize your lesson to get you safely moving on your personal riding goals. If you want to share the attention, you can have up to one additional participant from the same household.

We can also arrange privates with a specific instructor of your choice. Let us know the instructor's name when you register.

Private programs sell very quickly, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

All private lessons run for 2 hours. For ages 6+.

Family Private Lessons

Mountain biking is an amazing sport for the whole family to enjoy. Private lessons are a great way for the family to get out, learn together and develop the skills to have an amazing summer on the trails.

Whether your family is looking for simple riding tips for your kids to help them develop on the trails or your whole family is new to biking, we can cater the session to meet your needs. For two hours, your instructor will customize your lesson to get you moving safely on the trails and reaching your individual goals. These lessons can be booked for up to 5 participants from the same household.

All private lessons run for 2 hours. For ages 6+.

Gear Gang Camp

Ages 6-8 // Level 2, 3, & 4

Our mountain bike camps will get your child stoked to be outside! Children in our programs learn to build a strong foundation of riding skills, endurance, and mountain biking knowledge. Your young rider will challenge themselves with fun terrain and features, as well as a variety of skill building games & tactics to fine tune their riding. By the end of the week, your child will be a passionate and dedicated mountain biker.

Participants will have the opportunity to experience our skills centre and develop valuable skills required in all areas of biking. Children will also explore a variety of exciting Cross Country and Enduro trail loops in the Paskapoo trail network where they will be exposed to different features and challenges. Register your child into one of three levels and get them ready to spend the day outside on their bike with one of our passionate instructors. Aside from breaking for hydration, nutrition, and equipment maintenance your child will be on the trails all day.

Level 2

Your young rider can pedal their bike unassisted and perform a controlled stop using handbrakes on smooth terrain. Level 2 is for kids who can ride on pavement and are ready to bike on uneven terrain such as grass or dirt and learn how to correctly change gears. Kids will be introduced to all aspects of mountain biking.

In this level your rider will:

  • begin learning to ride on grass and dirt
  • understand how to change gears
  • be introduced to different types of terrain and riding disciplines
  • learn how to manage speed appropriately.

Equipment Requirements

  • Backpack you can ride with
  • Half shell helmet
  • Knee/elbow pads (optional)
  • Water bottle/CamelBak
  • Gloves
  • Bike repair kit
  • Suitable mountain bike with hand brakes and gears

Prerequisites

Successful completion of Level 1 and / or capable of the following:

  • Comfortable riding on pavement and roads
  • Able to ride straight down a gentle hill while controlling speed with hand brakes

Level 3

Your rider is comfortable riding on gentle off-road conditions, can handle small obstacles such as rocks and roots and can fully control their speed on green terrain. Level 3 will continue developing and introducing mountain bike skills where riders take on new challenges and experiment with creative tactics on green terrain.

In this level your rider will:

  • continue developing skills in green and blue terrain
  • be comfortable climbing green terrain
  • be comfortable descending green and blue terrain.

  • Backpack you can ride with
  • Half shell helmet
  • Knee/elbow pads (optional)
  • Water bottle/CamelBak
  • Gloves
  • Bike repair kit
  • Suitable mountain bike with hand brakes and gears

Level 4

Your rider is comfortable and adventurous on off-road terrain and enjoys riding at higher speeds. They can confidently control their speed, are ready to develop a more aggressive riding technique and take on terrain. We will introduce skill-based maneuvers such as front/rear wheel lifts, bunny hops and introduce the children to some small trail features. Your child should be comfortable riding Green and Blue terrain.

In this level your rider will:

  • develop riding technique
  • develop skill-based maneuvers including front/rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, drops and jumps
  • continue developing skills in all areas of mountain biking.

Equipment Requirements

  • Backpack you can ride with
  • Half shell helmet
  • Knee/elbow pads (optional)
  • Water bottle/CamelBak
  • Gloves
  • Bike repair kit
  • Suitable mountain bike with hand brakes and gears

Prerequisites

Enduro Camp

Ages 10-16 // Level 6

What goes down, must also go up! Your rider finds thrill in not just the downhill but also the technical climb. Participants will earn their descents while tackling challenging climbs in our network of cross-country trails. This camp combines the excitement of great trails, passionate pedalling and speed. Our coaches will guide participants around while refining various skills and working through specific features encountered on the trails. Your rider will be lookin' slick and having an overall great time while on their bike and keeping up with other like-minded riders. Get ready to ride, pedal, laugh, and make some epic memories on your bike!

Pre-requisites

This program is for riders looking to get a well-rounded experience of Enduro mountain biking. In this program, participants will continue to develop a strong understanding of fundamental skills, trail etiquette, endurance and athleticism. Participants are expected to understand how to shift gears, use brakes comfortably and be able to adjust body position to be dynamic through varied terrain. Completion of Level 5 is recommended.

  • Neck brace (optional with full face)
