These girls-only programs provide a positive and encouraging space for your child to learn and build friendships with likeminded people.
These lesson are two hours long and include hill access for your lesson time.
Levels can be repeated to refine and consolidate skills.
No previous skiing experience is required in our Fearless Females first time program. Fun skiing-related games and tactics are used to provide an engaging and active introduction to skiing with the goal of building a lifelong love of the sport. Girls will love learning to ski!
Pre-requisites
- No previous ski experience required
- Able to remain active for two hours
Key Goals
- Become comfortable putting on skis and moving about on flat and gently sloped terrain
- Introduced to magic carpet lift and how to stop and control speed using a wedge (pizza shape)
Equipment Required
Dress in layers so participants can adjust your temperature for hill conditions and stay dry.
Come wearing the following items for a successful lesson experience:
- Buff or face covering
- Snow Sports Helmet (no hockey/bike helmets)
- Goggles
- Base layers made of moisture-wicking fabric
- Winter jacket
- Waterproof snow pants
- Wool socks
- Gloves/mittens
- Neck warmer
- Skis with metal edges and release bindings

- Complete turns on Green terrain
- Get up on their own after falling

Students continue building from the Beginner 1 skills as they learn how to complete their toe and heel side turns while maintaining a strong athletic body position.
Novice 2 may be repeated multiple times to help build a solid foundation.
Pre-requisites
Successfully completed Beginner 1 or have the ability to complete all key goals outlined in Beginner 1
Able to:
- Come to a complete stop using a snow plow (pizza shape)
- Complete turns on Green terrain
- Get up on their own after falling
Key Goals
- Comfortably link turns around obstacles
- Varying the size and speed of turns
- Developing balance while on skis
- Start using the chairlift

Students start skiing faster on steeper terrain, while learning how to keep their skis parallel through the turn. This program progresses from beginner to intermediate terrain on the chairlift.
Intermediate 3 may be repeated multiple times to help build a solid foundation for a long skiing future.
Pre-requisites
Successfully completed Novice 2 or have the ability to complete all key goals outlined in Novice 2
Able to:
- Control speed and direction on Green terrain
- Experience skiing on runs from the top of the chairlift
Key Goals
- Comfortably ski from top to bottom while carrying out various skill drills, such as skiing on one ski
- Skiing and stopping with parallel skis

This program focuses on refining fundamental skills and equipping students with the tools to ski any terrain confidently. Your child will develop stronger parallel on intermediate terrain and learn to ride all kinds of terrain with ease.
Pre-requisites
Successfully completed Intermediate 3 or have the ability to complete all key goals outlined in Intermediate 3
Able to:
- Ski with parallel skis on most terrain
- Vary turn shape on steeper terrain
- Confidently try new and challenging terrain
Key Goals
- Work on refined edge control and carving
- Instill skills and confidence to attempt any terrain
