Ages 13 - 19
These girls-only programs provide a positive and encouraging space for participants to learn and build friendships with likeminded people.
These lesson are two hours long and include hill access for your lesson time.
Levels can be repeated to refine and consolidate skills.
Take the first steps as a skier. Familiarize yourself with the equipment, and how to use it to get around.
As the group progresses you will learn to be safe on the hill and begin to develop skiing fundamentals to control your speed and direction.
Pre-requisites
No previous skiing experience required
Key Goals
- Become comfortable putting on skis and moving about on flat and gently sloped terrain
- Introduced to magic carpet lift and how to control speed using a wedge
Equipment Required
Dress in layers so participants can adjust your temperature for hill conditions and stay dry.
Come wearing the following items for a successful lesson experience:
- Buff or face covering
- Snow Sports Helmet (no hockey/bike helmets)
- Goggles
- Base layers made of moisture-wicking fabric
- Winter jacket
- Waterproof snow pants
- Wool socks
- Gloves/mittens
- Neck warmer
- Skis with metal edges and release bindings

Grasp the basics and learn how to be safe on the hill before progressing to the next level. Start by learning the fundamental skills and gain confidence on beginner terrain as you learn how to control your speed and change direction.
Pre-requisites
- Have been skiing once or twice
- Familiar with ski equipment and moving about on flat and gently sloped terrain
Key Goals
- Complete turns of varying size on Green terrain and around obstacles
- Build confidence on skis and feel in control in a new environment
- Control speed

This program further develops skills and techniques as participants learn how to ski more challenging terrain confidently while maintaining an athletic body position and demonstrating edge control.
Pre-requisites
- Comfortably link turns on beginner terrain
Key Goals
- Comfortably ski from top of chairlift to bottom while carrying out various skill drills
- Ski in parallel most of the time on beginner terrain

Refine skills as you ski steeper runs, reach higher speeds, and develop varied terrain techniques.
Features such as small jumps, bumps, and rollers may also be introduced at this level, depending on the group's interests.
Pre-requisites
- Ski in parallel most of the time on beginner terrain
- Comfortably ski at higher speeds
- Able to confidently ride intermediate/chairlift terrain
Key Goals
- Experiment with small and large radius turns
- Refine edge control and carving technique
- Learn how to tackle variable terrain at higher speeds
