Ages 9 - 11 / Levels 1, 2

Get immersed in the excitement of mountain biking in a supportive, girls-only environment designed to inspire confidence, connection, and adventure. Our Girls Only MTB camps combine skill building and fun for riders tackling Level 1 and Level 2 terrain. The adventure unfolds both on-site in our WinSport Bike Park and off-site offsite on the neighbouring Paskapoo Slopes, where participants will explore trails that challenge and empower them. In this encouraging setting, will girls learn to navigate new terrain, refine their techniques, and discover their strength—all while building lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.

Terms of Contract

IMPORTANT – WAIVERS REQUIRED

A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver(s)") must be completed prior to participation in WinSport’s Programs, Lessons, and Camps and, if applicable, rental of Equipment. If the applicable Waiver(s) are not completed, participation in the WinSport Program and access to WinSport’s facilities and/or rental of Equipment will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.

The Waiver(s) will be available for completion during the sales process, and copies are available for preview below.

  • The Waiver(s) will apply to participation in all biking programs, camps and activities and/or equipment rentals for the period of time set out in the Waiver(s).
  • A parent/guardian must complete the Waiver(s) for their minor/child participant.

 

PLEASE READ THE WAIVER(S) CAREFULLY! By signing, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for negligence, breach of contract, or breach of the Occupiers’ Liability Act or claim compensation following an accident.

LESSONS, CAMPS AND PROGRAMS REFUND POLICY

Girls Only Mountain Bike - Level 1

Explore the basics of mountain biking such as braking, body positioning, and turning to explore your first mountain bike trails. Our instructors will help build confidence to practice new skills on new trails.

Trail Usage

  • Comfortable on flat terrain and some Green trails and features.
  • Progressing to riding Green trails.

Feature Usage

  • Green features - Small:
    • Green berms
    • Roots, rocks, and variable trail conditions

Prerequisites

  • Comfortable riding on pavement.
  • Able to maintain balance and use both front and back brakes.
  • Little to no experience on mountain bike terrain.

Level Goals

  • Learn basic skills such as body positioning, gearing, and breaking.
  • Gain confidence stopping, steering, and changing direction.
  • Progress from primarily pavement-based terrain to Green mountain bike trails.

Mandatory Equipment

  • Camp Basics - Find them in our Know Before You Go
  • Learn basic skills such as body positioning, gearing, and breaking.
  • Gain confidence stopping, steering, and changing direction.
  • Progress from primarily pavement-based terrain to Green mountain bike trails.

Recommended Equipment

Chairlift Usage

  • This group may access chairlift terrain by riding uphill, but will not use the chairlift.

Girls Only Mountain Bike - Level 2

Progress basic skills on Blue trails, riding with more fluidity and control. Our instructors will then begin introducing more advanced trails and techniques to support learning.

Trail Usage

  • Comfortable on Green trails and features.
  • Progressing to Blue trails and features.

Feature Usage

  • Green features - Small:
    • Jumps
    • Roots, rocks, and variable trail conditions

Prerequisites

  • Comfortable riding on some Green terrain.
  • Confident riding on uneven terrain.
  • Have previously ridden on trails without making frequent stops.
  • Capable of riding a 5 km cross-country loop, but little to no experience on Blue trails.

Level Goals

  • Continue progressing your basic skills on more technical terrain.
  • Improve cornering, body positioning, and steering to ride more fluidly.
  • Progress from Green mountain bike trails to lower-level Blue ones.

Chairlift Usage

  • This group will aim to access the chairlift on the fourth day of the camp.
