CIHA & WinSport Development Hockey Program

Ages 5 - 12

Here's the scoop: Our Spring Development Program is designed for players with a solid foundation who are ready to take the next step while still having fun along the way. Over eight weeks, athletes will build confidence, sharpen key skills, and enjoy a positive and engaging training environment. This spring, join us on the ice to grow your game, have a great time, and keep pushing toward higher levels of play.

What you'll do: Twice a week, you will be on the ice developing strong skating and puck fundamentals through focused, enjoyable training sessions. Off the ice, we will develop and emphasize fundamental movement skills and physical literacy to support overall athleticism. Each session is designed to help you progress with help from our dedicated coaching staff.

Who should register: Our program is for U7 to U13 hockey players who are excited to develop their game. It’s designed for athletes who want to improve, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a supportive team environment. This program is geared towards players who have participated in WinSport hockey programming for two sessions or more, or who are playing in tier 3 or 4 community hockey. Each session focuses on skill development, building confidence, and fostering a love of the game, giving young athletes the chance to grow, have fun, and take their hockey to the next level.

The CIHA & WinSport Development Hockey Program is coached by WinSport and CIHA coaches as a partnership. Please see the description of the Calgary International Hockey Academy (CIHA). At our hockey academy, we believe that the pursuit of excellence in sport can serve as a foundation for personal growth and development. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that hockey is not just a game, but a way of life that requires dedication, discipline, and a commitment to hard work. Earned, not given.

Terms of Contract

IMPORTANT – WAIVER REQUIRED

A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver") must be completed prior to participation in WinSport’s Programs, Lessons, and Camps. If the applicable Waiver is not completed, participation in the WinSport Program and access to WinSport’s facilities will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.

The Waiver will be available for completion during the sales process, and a copy is available for preview below.

• The Waiver will apply to all Ice Program and Camps and Activities for the period of time set out in the Waiver.
• A parent/guardian must complete the Waiver for their minor/child participant.

PLEASE READ THE WAIVER CAREFULLY! By signing, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for negligence, breach of contract, or breach of the Occupiers’ Liability Act or claim compensation following an accident.
