Get Ready for Summer Wilderness Camps at WinSport!

Presented By

This Know Before You Go is for the following Summer Camps:

  • Wilderness Explorers Camps
  • Wilderness Knots & Knives Camps
  • Wilderness Survival Skills Camps

Before Your First Day

  • Complete the waiver for your child's camp.
  • Complete the Participant Information Form and bring a printed copy to your child’s assigned instructor on the first day of camp. This form is mandatory and will set up our instructors to take care of your child and have a successful week. If you can't print a copy of this form in advance, we will have them available to complete at check-in.
  • Friend Requests: If your child would like to be in the same group as a friend, please notify your child’s assigned instructor at check-in. We recommend friends arrive at check-in at the same time on the first day.

Camp Basics: What To Bring

  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Clothes that do not restrict movement and can get dirty
  • Rain jacket or waterproof jacket
  • Socks

Wilderness Knots & Knives Camps:

Help Us Support Your Camper

Is there anything we should know about your child to help them feel comfortable, confident and successful at camp – any specific learning styles, communication needs, sensory preferences, medical information or supports they receive at school? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Some campers may benefit from additional support in busy or high-sensory environments. While WinSport does not provide one-to-one aides, families are welcome to arrange their own support person if needed.

If you plan to bring a support person, please contact us as early as possible. A Vulnerable Sector Check is required and can take two to three weeks to process.

For best planning, we recommend reaching out to inclusion@winsport.ca at least three weeks before camp so we can work together to set your child up for a great experience.

Stay tuned for more information on check-in and out locations
