This Know Before You Go is for the following Summer Camps:

Before Your First Day
- Complete the waiver for your child's camp.
- Complete the Participant Information Form and bring a printed copy to your child’s assigned instructor on the first day of camp.
- Friend Requests: If your child would like to be in the same group as a friend, please notify your child’s assigned instructor at check-in. We recommend friends arrive at check-in at the same time on the first day.
Athlete Membership
- Please ensure you have registered or renewed your athlete membership for the 2026-2027 season!
- Athlete Memberships are required for participation in Freestyle Camps and Programs. This membership is valid July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Please do not purchase this membership until July 1st 2026
- All ski athletes must have proof of a valid Club Athlete Membership or Limited Participation Membership through Freestyle Alberta. WinSport Freestyle Ski 2025/26 | SnowReg
- If you plan to register for a Winter Freestyle Program in the 2026/27 season, we recommend purchasing a full Club Athlete Membership.
- All snowboard athletes must have proof of a valid Recreational Membership through Alberta Snowboard. WinSport Freestyle Snowboard 2025/26 | SnowReg

Camp Basics: What To Bring
Please check the forecast daily and prepare your child with layers suited for changing conditions. For each day of camp, arrive ready for fun with the following (rainy day essentials listed below):
- Ski/Snowboard essentials:
- Skis/board in proper working condition (Edges intact, DIN’s set appropriately, equipment waxed).
- Properly fitting ski/board boots.
- Ski/Board Helmet (must not be damaged and must meet safety standards (ASTM F2040, CEN 1077, Snell RS-98).
- Ski/board socks and regular socks.
- Appropriate layers to stay warm or cool and dry for outdoor training (waterproof/wind resistant outer layer, warm mid-layer, and a
- moisture wicking base layer)
- A backpack that can be worn all day
- Minimum two 1-litre water bottles (water refill stations are available)
- Lunch and pocket snacks (no microwave or refrigerator will be available)
- Any required medication (participant must be able to administer it themselves)
- Sunscreen (please apply before arrival, and provide a bottle for reapplying throughout the day)
- Bug repellant
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Close-toed athletic shoes
- A long sleeve shirt and thin gloves are recommended
For rainy days, we recommend the additional items:
- Waterproof or quick-drying pants
- Rain boots or close-toed waterproof shoes
- A change of clothes and an extra pair of warm socks

- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Check-in: 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
- Camp activities: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Check-out: 4:00 PM
Freestyle Ski Advanced Training Camp and Freestyle Snowboard Advanced Training Camp
- Tuesday Afternoons, Wednesday Afternoons, Thursday Afternoons.
- Check-in: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Camp activities: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Check-out: 4:00 PM
What to Expect at Check-In on Day One
- Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before camp activities start.
- We will confirm waiver completion for your child's camp.
- Your child’s assigned instructor will collect your child’s Participant Information Form.
- Inform your child’s assigned instructor if your child would like to be in the same group as a friend.
- We will provide information on your child’s camp schedule and answer any questions you may have.
- Expect to make friends and have lots of fun!
When and Where to Check-In
Check-in and check-out will take place at the Summer Freestyle Training Centre. Look for on-site signage to direct you. Please note that check-out locations may change in the event of thunderstorms, lightning, or hail. All weather-related updates will be sent via email from this address.
