My school has less than 30 students that will be in attendance. Can our school still participate?
We may have space available for small schools. If less than 30 students attend the School Program, your school will be invoiced for the minimum requirement of 30 students.
What types of lessons are available in this program?
Our goal is to give as many students as possible the chance to participate fully in this program. Last year, we delivered more lessons than ever before, thanks to teachers organizing lesson groups in advance. For more information on adaptive, small group, or 1:1 lessons, please contact us at inclusion@winsport.ca or schoolprograms@winsport.ca
Which grades is this program available for?
This program is available for Grades 1-12.
What are the group sizes during lessons?
Lessons are organized at a 1:8 instructor to student ratio, based on the total number of students your school expects to attend the program. Specific group ratios may vary lower or higher (up to 1:10) with distribution of students into each skill level and ski/snowboard disciplines.
If enrollment for a particular level is low, students may be combined with another level or with another school. For example, if there are only a few Intermediate skiers, we may combine them with Novice skiers to form a full group, or with Intermediate skiers from another school.
What is the price for this program?
$52.50* per student per day, which includes:
- Instruction during the lesson
- Hill and lift access during the lesson
- Equipment rentals during the lesson
*This is a substantial savings from a typical youth lesson, which runs at a starting price of $120 and does not include rentals.
