WinSport Drive-In Movie
Aug 13, 2026
Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, join us at WinSport for movie time!
OK, so that’s not exactly how the original goes. But if that saying brings back fond memories, you won’t want to miss our upcoming community event at WinSport — our first-ever drive-in movie. The show is set for the evening of Thursday, August 13, in WinSport’s west overflow parking lot.
We are thrilled to be featuring Cool Runnings, a funny and family-friendly Disney movie that was inspired by the story of the Jamaican bobsled team at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics and was filmed right here at Canada Olympic Park. It’s a story of courage, perseverance and hope, mixed with some hilarious lines that will have the whole family laughing.
Tickets are now available for this special event. There is no individual admission, just a parking fee of $41.50 per vehicle. The gates will open at 7:00 p.m. Showtime is 9 p.m.
Whether you’re reliving your youth, sharing a nostalgic experience with the next generation or looking for a unique option for date night, a drive-in movie is a one-of-a-kind experience. We hope you will join us at WinSport to watch Cool Runnings on our jumbo outdoor screen!

Shut off your vehicle, set the emergency parking brake, then turn your vehicle back on in "accessory" mode. Most daytime running lights will turn off when you engage emergency brake, otherwise turn your headlights to the "OFF" position (most drivers of new vehicles always have their lights on "AUTO"). Before the movie starts, please do a "test" to ensure that it works. Your lights must be OFF for the duration of the feature presentation.
Engaging the emergency brake will work for most vehicles to get those lights to turn off. If it does not work for your car, please bring a blanket or black garbage bags that you can place over your lights so as to not disrupt guests’ viewing experience.
Put your car in "accessory" mode and the radio should not kill your battery. In the event that it does die, we do not have a booster pack onsite and are unable to help you boost your car.
It would be appreciated if you could wait until after the movie ends to exit, however, in case of emergency, you are welcome to leave the site at any time. If you do need to leave while the movie is playing, please keep your headlights off until you are out of the parking lot. If you need assistance, please let a member of staff know.
