WinSport works with athletes at every level to unleash athletic potential. Through our focus on Athlete Development we address the building blocks of physical conditioning to help you realize your potential as an athlete and prepare you to perform your best.

All Athlete Development programs provided by WinSport use the established Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) framework and scientifically-driven performance strategy to guide our programming decisions and training for all athletes on our campus. In the programs offered below, you will note the identified LTAD stages such as Learn to Train/Train to Train/Train to Compete, and these designations mean our coaches provide the right training for each athlete based on age and stage of growth and development.

Athlete Development Registered Training Programs

Athlete Development Training Program (Train to Train +: 13-17 Years)

Program Description

Athletes will be given an on-going customized Strength and Conditioning program and allowed to train in our facility under the supervision of the Strength and Conditioning coach.

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for youth athletes in any sport discipline who are looking to take their training to the next level.

Program outcome

Programs will be designed to optimize key components of sport-specific fitness (e.g. hockey, football, rugby, sliding sports, etc.) to help athletes achieve peak performances for pre-season evaluations and in-season play.

What's included

  • Initial consultation/pre-screening with a Strength & Conditioning Coach
  • Customized training program and 1-hour orientation session with their assigned    coach every 4 to 6 weeks
     
  • Access to the Performance Training Centre, Monday to Friday from 4:00pm to 5:30pm to complete the program in a supervised training group environment
  • On-going support with the assigned Strength & Conditioning Coach via our Team Buildr App
  • Under Armour training shirt & gym bag

Sport Specific Training Programs

Discover Olympic Lifting Program - Ages 18+
An introductory class structured to teach beginners the fundamental positions and movements of Olympic lifting.  Individuals with little to no experience will benefit the most from these classes. Athletes who would like to take a step back from their existing routines, and relearn the basics are also welcome. Focus will be placed on ingraining proper motor patterns and utilizing drills to teach the ‘feel’ of Olympic lifting. Classes will be once a week for 75 minutes, feature a structured warm-up and mobility-based cool-down.

Who is this program for?

Individuals with little to no experience with Olympic Lifting or those looking to relearn the basics.

Program Outcome

Knowledge of the fundamental positions and movements of Olympic lifting.

What is included?

1 Under Armour training shirt and 1 Under Armour training bag.

Prerequisites

  • Must be able to front squat an empty barbell (20kg)
  • Must be able to hold a deep body weight squat for 20 seconds
  • Must not have any chronic joint or bone issues

We can simplify the journey for you. With our widespread understanding of athlete development and performance strategy, we can help you realize and address the roadblocks in your or your team’s athletic performance.

We will help you plan effectively for training and competition, and provide recommendations to help you build tools and leverage your skills and abilities to realize your athletic potential.

If our existing offerings do not meet your specific needs our WinSport Strength and Conditioning team can build customized programs for both individuals and teams.

Coaching Services - Customized, Strength & Conditioning

Individual

Training sessions at WinSport with a Strength and Conditioning Coach who will periodize your program according to your YTP to address your in-season/off-season sport-specific training and competition needs.
  • Single - $80/hr
  • 5 Pack - $375 ($75/session)
  • 10 Pack - $700 ($70/session)
  • 20 Pack - $1,300 ($65/session)

Semi-Private/Small Group:

Same as individul training, but with 2-5 athletes.

Training sessions at WinSport with a Strength and Conditioning Coach who will periodize your program according to your YTP to address your in-season/off-season sport-specific training and competition needs.
  • Price – starting from $120/hr

Team Training:

Sport team training/6+ athletes.

Training sessions at WinSport with a Strength and Conditioning Coach who will periodize your program according to your YTP to address your in-season/off-season sport-specific training and competition needs.
  • Price – starting from $135/hr

Written Program Package:

For athletes or teams requiring programming guidance, allowing them to train on their own. Receive 6 weeks programming (5 days/week) to address all fitness components relevant to the training cycle goals, and a 1:1 training program orientation with a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Pair this service with memberships to one of our training facilities.

Performance Road - Mapping

Our performance road mapping services:

Our consultative services include, but are not limited to:
  • Sport KPI (key performance indicator) evaluations and strategy planning for sport coaches and athletes.
  • Yearly training plan (YTP) evaluations, planning and development for sport coaches and athletes.
  • Integrated support team service recommendations and referrals, where applicable (e.g. sport medicine, sport nutrition, sport psychology).
  • Educational sessions, seminars etc. for your key stakeholders (e.g. parents, coaches and athletes).
