Get out on a series of fun guided rides with a group of ladies who want to explore and ride challenging new terrain in a supportive environment.

These programs are all about networking and making friends with other experienced and likeminded riders. Register for our intermediate or advanced lessons and come ride with a supportive and likeminded group of ladies.

Note: These programs do not include chairlift access in the spring.

Womens Shred Night - Intermediate Plus (Level 4)

Our Women's Shred Nights intermediate program is a fun way to explore new trails and meet other likeminded ladies who love to mountain bike. Your coach will take you on a tour through new terrain and offer guidance to help you improve your riding.

To be prepared for this level, you should already be comfortable riding in a standing ‘ready’ position on Green (beginner) and easier Blue (intermediate) terrain.

Pre-requisites

  • Can use correct uphill or downhill position on Green and easier Blue terrain.
  • Comfortable at trail speed on Green and starting to increase speed on easier Blue terrain.
  • Can adjust body position appropriately while braking.
  • Correct timing when using brakes to stay in control.
  • Shift gears appropriately through Green and easier blue terrain.
  • Can ride over small obstacles (sticks, rocks, etc.) with correct body position.
  • Scan the trail and choose the appropriate line on a Green or easier Blue trail.
  • Can confidently do a "front wheel lift".
  • Can roll over a small tabletop jump.

Equipment Requirements

  • Front and rear disk brakes required
  • Front suspension required
  • Certified/Approved Helmet required
  • Knee & elbow pads recommended

Key Goals

  • Can use correct uphill or downhill position on most Blue (intermediate) terrain
  • Can adjust use of brakes to maintain traction and stay in control.
  • Shifting gears through changing terrain to maintain a proper cadence.
  • Can ride over small obstacles (sticks, rocks, etc.) with correct body position at trail speed.
  • Can show proper technique over a small jump.
  • Scan the trail and choose the appropriate line on a Blue trail.
  • Introduced to maneuvers like "rear wheel lifts", "roll in's" and "bunny hops", etc.

IMPORTANT – WAIVER(S) REQUIRED

A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver") must be completed prior to participation in any WinSport Programs, Lessons, and Camps. If the applicable Waiver(s) is/are not completed, participation in the WinSport Program and access to WinSport's facilities will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.

  • A Parent/guardian must complete the applicable Waiver(s) for their minor/child participants

  • Any issued passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the participant
