Offseason Freestyle Ski - Level Preseason Development

The Development Preseason Ski Programs help athletes build and refine important skills preparing them for a competitive winter season. Our coaches will give the athletes the tools and feedback to refine advanced riding skills. We help skiers progress in a fun training environment where they can safely learn new tricks in before taking them to the snow.

Athletes in this program must be registered in a WinSport Development program and meet the prerequisites listed in the Development program description.*

Pre-requisites

  • Strong base of riding skills
  • Can comfortably hit a 25+ foot jump
  • Must be registered in a Development program*

Equipment Requirements

  • Properly sized twin-tip park skis
  • Properly fitting ski boots appropriate for freestyle riding
  • Appropriate outerwear and layers for all conditions
  • Properly maintained equipment
  • Ski poles
  • Comfortable athletic wear for indoor training

Key Goals

  • Improved technique on trampoline, jumps and rails.
  • Strengthened air awareness.
  • Refine important skills and learn new tricks.
  • Learn how to train for the winter season (sport-specific exercises, education on how to train safely, proper nutrition, etc.)
  • Improved strength and endurance.

Additional Information

  • Proof of up-to-date athlete (NSO/PSO) membership through Freestyle Canada or Canada Snowboard is required to participate in these programs.

Participation in WinSport’s Academy programs, camps, or sessions (the Program”) is subject to completion of WinSport’s Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreements (the “Waivers”) by the participant or their parent/legal guardian prior to the first day of the Program. Offseason Freestyle Ski - Level Trampoline & Dryland

This program is focussed on preparing freestyle ski athletes for the winter season through a 50/50 mix of focussed gym training and trampoline training. Our highly certified Freestyle coaches will help athletes build air awareness and learn new skills on the trampoline while our professional gym trainers will work on building strength, endurance and flexibility.

Pre-requisites

  • Basic trampoline experience is required.

  • Comfortable athletic wear for indoor training

Offseason Freestyle Ski - Level Spring Freestyle Ski

Join our jam-packed spring Freestyle ski & snowboard programs! Our highly certified coaches give you personalized feedback and tips to help you master new skills while training on our world class venues. These programs include a well rounded mix of time spent on our Super Trampoline, Airbag and Dryslope Rail Park.

Pre-requisites

Must be comfortable riding at an intermediate/advanced level and capable of hitting a 25+ foot jump. Intermediate to advanced trampoline experience is required.

Equipment Requirements

Participants are required to have the following:

  • Skis/Snowboard & boots(edges must be detuned and fully intact)
  • Helmet.
  • Face mask.
  • Long sleeve t shirt
  • Full length athletic pants.
  • Gloves and socks.
  • Additional layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, snacks/lunch.
