Ages 7 - 99
These lessons are a great first-time introduction to skiing and help get you excited for more winter fun. Never Ever lessons are intended to fit your schedule, choose a midweek, weekend or holiday lesson, and register for just one lesson or the Ski-in-Three program.
These are true beginner lessons to introduce you to a new sport. These lessons do not progress past introductory and beginner content.
Register for the ages 15+ 3-day lesson package and get a 4th day at Sunshine Village for a special rate. See below for more info!
Rentals
Rentals are included in your program package. Please arrive 45-60 minutes prior to your lesson time to complete the rental process.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive with sufficient time to get rentals before your lesson. Participants arriving to the lesson check-in more than 10 minutes late will not be permitted to attend the lesson.
TERMS OF CONTRACT
IMPORTANT – WAIVERS REQUIRED
A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver") must be completed prior to participation in WinSport’s Programs, Lessons, and Camps and, if applicable, rental of Alpine Equipment. If the applicable Waiver is not completed, participation in the WinSport Program and access to WinSport’s facilities will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.
The Waiver will be available for completion during the sales process, and a copy is available for preview below.
- Each adult participant must complete their own Waiver
- A Parent/guardian must complete the Waiver for their minor/child participant
PLEASE READ THE WAIVER CAREFULLY! By signing, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for negligence, breach of contract, or breach of the Occupiers’ Liability Act or claim compensation following an accident.

NO GUARANTEE OF CONDITIONS - We do not guarantee hill conditions, weather or other operating conditions including open terrain or lift operation.
NO FOOT TRAFFIC ALLOWED ON SKI HILL - For the safety of WinSport’s guests, there is no foot traffic allowed or on-hill viewing of winter lessons. Parents (including carpet-only ticket holders) are not allowed on snow without ski or snowboard equipment and a valid ticket/pass. Only persons with a valid ticket/pass who are skiing or snowboarding with appropriate equipment will be permitted on snow.

Discover a new passion for skiing in a fun and safe learning environment. This beginner lesson introduces the fundamentals of skiing.
This 90-minute lesson is meant to be taken once and includes standard hill access and rentals during the lesson.
Pre-requisites
- No previous skiing experience required
- Able to be active on skis for 90 minutes
Key Goals
- Come to a stop using a snow plow (pizza shape)
- May progress to turning, as skill level allows
Equipment Required
Come wearing the following items for a successful lesson experience:
- Buff or face covering
- Goggles
- Base layers made of moisture-wicking fabric
- Winter jacket
- Waterproof snow pants
- Wool socks
- Gloves/mittens
- Neck warmer
- Snow Sports Helmet (Included in rental)
- Snowboard boots or ski boots (Included in rental)
- Snowboard or skis and poles (Included in rental)
- Dress in layers so you can adjust your temperature for hill conditions and stay dry

Designed for a more mature group looking to discover the basics of skiing, this program covers the fundamentals but with a slightly quicker pace than our youth program.
This 90-minute lesson is meant to be taken once and includes standard hill access and rentals during the lesson.

- Able to be active on skis for 90 minutes

Never been on skis before? Tried skiing once or twice but never left the bunny hill? This popular program is a great way to learn the basics of skiing in a fun and safe environment with an experienced instructor. With three 90-minute lessons, you'll progress from "How do I put these on?" to "Did you see my turns?!".
This program starts on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and continues at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Equipment rentals and standard hill access are included in the program cost for the lesson time. If you want to extend your rentals or hill access, this can be purchased separately through Guest Services after your lesson each day.
WinSport Never Ever Lessons - 4th day at Banff Sunshine (Ages 15+)

- Get a full-day lesson with a lift ticket & rentals for $199 + GST

Eligible program graduates will be contacted with additional information following the completion of their WinSport lessons.
*Includes one reservation per WinSport Never Ever graduated participant. Ages 15 and over only.

- Feel comfortable turning and controlling speed by the end of Day 3. Chairlift may be used, depending on the group
