All Mountain Level 5 - formerly Jumps & Bumps/Podium Pushers


This recreational All Mountain club continues to build on the fundamental skiing skills that are required in order to progress into either a freestyle or racing program in the near future. This program will encompass the Jumps & Bumps curriculum laid out by the CFSA (Canadian Freestyle Ski Association) alongside the alpine component to strengthen the fundamental skills in all disciplines.

Your young skier will spend their time becoming more aggressive and confident on the snow by increasing their speed, control and mobility. Your child’s coach will create a safe, fun and educational learning environment which will enable them to hone their skills and move through their season long training plan.

A fun event will be held at the end of the season (date TBD) to allow the participants to put their skills to the challenge of competition.

Freestylerz Development Team Level 7 - Formerly JR Freestylerz


The Freestylerz Development Team Level 7 is designed to take advanced young skiers from our All Mountain Level 6 and allow them to learn more about freestyle terrain and competitive skiing. This team will follow the development of the Freestylerz program laid out by the CFSA (Canadian Freestyle Ski Association).

Athletes will be expected to proficiently ski alpine terrain with an athletic body position and correct ski line. Once this is established, athletes will further develop how to jump correctly, ride a rail, spin off jumps, and show control on all terrain a skier might face. This program is designed to be the first step in a competitive skier’s growth. Key factors of this program are the development of athleticism, mental preparedness, and introduction to grassroots competition.

All competition fees for WinSport Grass Root Series Events are included in the cost of the program. No further registration for these events will be required.

  • Become comfortable with all types of freestyle terrain.

  • 360 on medium jumps in west terrain park
  • Ski beginner moguls run with two different tricks
  • Slide both rails and boxes consistently


Freeski REC Level 7


The WinSport Freeski REC Level 7 program is designed to develop young skiers in the exciting and expressive sport of freestyle skiing. Freeski REC Level 7 skiers will be expected to proficiently ski alpine terrain with an athletic body position and correct ski line. Once this is established, participants will learn essential tools to jump correctly, ride a rail, spin off jumps, and show control on all terrain a skier might face. Participants will continue to spend time developing the technical skiing skills required to perform freestyle, including position and balance, edge control and timing and coordination. The Freeski REC Level 7 program is aligned with the CFSA curriculum and follow on from the freestyle skills learned in the All Mountain program. This program is designed to be fun and progressive in a non-competitive environment. Its development is in alignment with our competitive stream should any participants wish to move in that direction.

These athletes will learn how to use the advanced features in the terrain park while still building overall athletic skills. Participants will also continue to spend time developing the technical skiing skills required to perform freestyle at a high level, including position and balance, edge control and timing and coordination. The Freeski REC Level 8 program is aligned with the CFSA curriculum.  This program is designed to be fun and progressive in a non-competitive environment. Its development is in alignment with our competitive stream should any participants wish to move in that direction.

Freeski REC Level 8


The Freestylerz Development Team Level 8 will develop skiers beyond the basics of freestyle skiing by introducing more advanced rails and larger jumps. These athletes will learn how to use the advanced features in the terrain park while still building overall athletic skills. Participants will also continue to spend time developing the technical skiing skills required to perform freestyle at a high level, including position and balance, edge control and timing and coordination. The Freeski REC Level 8 program is aligned with the CFSA curriculum.  This program is designed to be fun and progressive in a non-competitive environment. Its development is in alignment with our competitive stream should any participants wish to move in that direction.

All Mountain Level 5 - formerly Jumps & Bumps/Podium Pushers


This recreational All Mountain club continues to build on the fundamental skiing skills that are required in order to progress into either a freestyle or racing program in the near future. This program will encompass the Jumps & Bumps curriculum laid out by the CFSA (Canadian Freestyle Ski Association) alongside the alpine component to strengthen the fundamental skills in all disciplines.

Your young skier will spend their time becoming more aggressive and confident on the snow by increasing their speed, control and mobility. Your child’s coach will create a safe, fun and educational learning environment which will enable them to hone their skills and move through their season long training plan.

A fun event will be held at the end of the season (date TBD) to allow the participants to put their skills to the challenge of competition.

    • Demonstrating correct takeoff and landing technique while straight airing a small jump

  • Introduction and development of alpine racing skills, including but not limited to:
    • Able to successfully ski around a beginner slalom and giant slalom course
    • Increasing the speed at which they are skiing on more advanced terrain

In this program, athletes will be performing maneouvres on every feature in the terrain park while still maintaining a strong fundamental base. Athletes must be able to show all skills learned in previous levels. Athletic awareness and mental preparation are a main focus of this team.

  • 3 mountain trips, dates TBD and communicated prior to the season start.
Additional Costs

Development Team Level 10 - Formerly C-Team

The WinSport Development Team Level 10 places athletes in inter-club and provincial events. In this program, athletes will be expected to properly prepare and perform at events around the province. This program is the stepping stone to our High Performance teams and requires a major commitment. Multiple flips and rotations in both directions are the focus of slope style training days. Athletes will transfer these skills to the half pipe as well as maintain fundamental ski knowledge in the moguls. All Development Team Level 10 athletes will be expected to maintain a high standard of athleticism and nutrition.

The WinSport Freeski REC Level 7 program is designed to develop young skiers in the exciting and expressive sport of freestyle skiing. Freeski REC Level 7 skiers will be expected to proficiently ski alpine terrain with an athletic body position and correct ski line. Once this is established, participants will learn essential tools to jump correctly, ride a rail, spin off jumps, and show control on all terrain a skier might face. Participants will continue to spend time developing the technical skiing skills required to perform freestyle, including position and balance, edge control and timing and coordination. The Freeski REC Level 7 program is aligned with the CFSA curriculum and follow on from the freestyle skills learned in the All Mountain program. This program is designed to be fun and progressive in a non-competitive environment. Its development is in alignment with our competitive stream should any participants wish to move in that direction.
